VidPlaza is the universal video web. It is a focused place to go live on vidplaza.live, keep your own groups, and share video with friends. Skim the sections below or jump with the links.
What is VidPlaza?
VidPlaza is a browser-based live video community built for vloggers and small groups. Members meet on Square (the open plaza), run private Live groups with stage controls, send video messages and video calls, and publish stage recordings to Feeds. Accounts use a permanent @handler so people stay findable across devices.
Features
- Square — optional live tiles, friend waves, and opt-in Square audio links (headset chat with people you accept).
- Live groups — owner/admin stage tools, mute controls, free-stage or admin pull, Go Live, and group Feeds.
- Video Inbox — async video messages plus 1:1 video calls when friends are available.
- Feeds & Uploads — browse published clips; share where allowed.
- Community & Safety — Red Flag reports with permanent @handler, hide-from-viewing lists, and VidMaster review tools.
- Products Add-on — optional extras such as participant slots, multistream destinations, and Remove AdSense when available.
How accounts work
Creating an account and signing in unlocks the live stage, groups, and inbox. About, Privacy, and Terms stay public so visitors can understand the product without logging in. After sign-in, your session is remembered on that browser until you log out.
Safety & advertising
VidPlaza is not an adult marketplace. Safety reporting, age-appropriate lanes, and operator tools are part of the product path. Display ads may appear for non–ad-free members on public surfaces such as Feeds; Remove AdSense and group-owner ad-free options hide ads where entitled. See Privacy for how advertising partners may process data.
The spark
Video should feel like one room, not a dozen apps. The idea started simple: a square where anyone can show up, groups for people who already know each other, and tools that respect both public stages and private threads. No big promise on day one — just a clear screen, a camera, and a path for people who vlog, teach, or hang out on camera.
Why VidPlaza
Square is the public stage — discoverable and live-friendly for creators who want to be found. Customized groups are your tables: invite-only spaces with their own vibe, without mixing every audience into one feed.
Go Live on owned Live groups uses Mux for broadcast and optional multistream destinations. Past Feeds keeps replays you choose to save. Video Inbox sends async clips to friends who are not online right now. Every account includes a free 5-minute Go Live save (24-hour access) — paid recording tiers and other add-ons roll out in Settings when checkout opens.
Built with Grok
VidPlaza is built with Grok Build — human direction plus AI pair programming for design, wiring, and iteration. Features ship in small slices, are tested on the local dev server, and reach vidplaza.live when they are ready. The stack is modern web (no app-store gate), with Mux for group Go Live and careful attention to privacy on private messages and calls.
